K dispozici je zdrojový kód (nov? verze 2.4) S/MIME Freeware Library (SFL). V knihovn? je implementována CMS (Cryptographic Message Syntax) dle rfc.3369 spolu se specifikacemi pro ESS (Enhanced Security Services)dle rfc.2634 a také jsou použity specifikace dle dalších rfc (rfc.2633 Message Specification, rfc.2632 Certificate Handling, rfc.3370 CMS Algorithms resp. rfc.2631 Diffie-Hellman (D-H) Key Agreement Method). Knihovna byla testována pod MS Windows 2000/XP, Linuxem and Sun Solaris 2.8. operating systems.
